Guest Reciprocal Moorage

Welcome To Squalicum Harbor On Behalf Of The Members Of Squalicum Yacht Club

The Port of Bellingham – Squalicum Harbor office does not manage Squalicum Yacht Club reciprocal slips. To request reciprocal moorage, please call us directly at (360) 306-1974. If you get our voice mail, please leave your name and phone number. Between May 27th and September 30th, we will make every effort to call you back within the hour!

Our reciprocal slips are located in the East Entrance of Squalicum Harbor close to the Port of Bellingham’s main guest dock at Gate 9. SYC member slips are assigned by phone based on their availability from May 27th–September 30.

Our policy for use of reciprocal slips is as follows:

  • Reciprocal moorage based on availability—must call first.
  • Please fly your yacht club burgee.
  • Do not leave your boat unattended overnight.
  • Fill out our registration form located in the receptacle on our dock boxes.
  • Include $4.00 per night for power usage with your registration.
  • We have six member slips: Five 36′ LOA and One 40′ LOA.

At the time your slip assignment is given, you will also receive the gate code giving you access to the restrooms, showers, and laundry. The receptacle on our dock box also has local information regarding fuel, food, marine supplies, etc.

Our reciprocal committee chair is Steve Glenn.  Please contact Steve with any questions or problems at  (360) 306-1974. Please enjoy your time in our city with its many amenities. We wish you a safe and pleasant cruising season!

Reciprocal Moorage for SYC Members

  2. Present your current SYC membership card.
  3. Know the reciprocal clubs most current procedures by:
  • Reviewing your SYC reciprocal handout – available from Steve Glenn.
  • Reviewing their website (see listing at the bottom of this page).
  • Checking with the harbormaster and/or following their posted signage.
  • Reviewing The Burgee: Premier Marina Guidebook.
